  Went here for restaurant week, the appetizers were wonderful, but the second course was a major failure. The Alaskan cod was completely over salted. My face was naturally making expressions because there was so much salt not only in the fish but in the rice underneath. The pork was extremely tough. Overall, the main course was completely dissatisfying.
  We did the wine pairing and the wine was phenomenal which is why I am giving this place two stars. The dessert was also wonderful. I would give this place 5 stars if the main course improved.

  Worth it. Best place for a small wedding party with a smoking section out back. Eat here and then order their wurst separate. It tastes the way it tastes as if it's made in Austria. I visited Germany and Austria for a month. Nowhere else in Kansas City I know of has an authentic wurst except here. Take it home and put it in your freezer for game day at home. You won't be sorry.

  Just stopped in for the first time for Saturday brunch before the holidays. It was the first dose of winter weather and everything was icy so the place was empty except for we brave souls.
  
  We immediately started off with the bottomless mimosas that lifted some of the haze from the night before and an excellent deal at $10. I went with the sausage trio with a side of potatoes and my friends went with the sausage burger and steak and eggs. Everyone was super happy with their orders. The brats were very flavorful and each one had a different texture. One was really smooth and another was very meaty. All of it good.
  
  Service was extra attentive since everyone else had cancelled their reservations due to weather but I'm sure it's good regardless. Definitely will come back for dinner and try the seasonal menus.

  Unique dining experience and wonderful jazz vocalist. Our family ordered the venison, quail and scallops menu items with a side of truffle fries and the smoked spinach salad. Truly unusual salad with surprising smokey taste - large enough to share. We also shared the triple chocolate dessert and the very light German cheesecake topped with a tiny scoop of sorbet and tart lemon sauce. Both were delicious and not too heavy (shared among five).
